Our Founder's Vision

Our founder, Vern Snow, was a man of extraordinary talent and passion. With the ability to build and fix nearly anything, Vern envisioned something different for his post-retirement years. In 1983, he established Snow's Wood Shop, with a simple goal in mind: to create a one or two-man cabinet shop that built fine, custom cabinetry for local customers. He believed in making the customer happy, and he achieved this through a straightforward formula:

1. Working closely with the customer to develop a design

2. Ensuring that every detail was addressed during the design process

3. Building the cabinets according to the specs, with an emphasis on exceeding customer expectations

4. Installing the project on time

Vern's customer-focused approach quickly paid off, as Snow's Wood Shop grew to become one of the largest cabinet shops in Northwest Ohio. Although Vern has since retired and passed away, his legacy lives on through his family and the dedicated team at Snow's Wood Shop. We continue to honor Vern's work ethic, creativity, and attention to detail by striving for great design, craftsmanship, and timeliness in all that we do.

Our Team

Kurt Snow: As the current owner of Snow's Wood Shop, Kurt has been involved in the custom cabinet business since 1989. Kurt handles kitchen cabinet design/layouts during in-home appointments, cabinet quotes, final measures, and overall project management. He is dedicated to ensuring that each client's vision becomes a reality.

Mindy Snow: As another owner of Snow's Wood Shop, Mindy has been an integral part of the custom cabinet business since 1990. Mindy handles cabinet designs/layouts, computer drawings, countertop quotes, and showroom selections. Her expertise and keen eye for design enable her to create stunning, functional spaces for our clients.

Tom Steedman: With a background in the custom cabinet business since 2004, Tom handles cabinet design/layouts, countertop quotes, in-home appointments, showroom selections, scheduling of work, and overall project management with our special product items. Tom's commitment to quality and customer satisfaction ensures that each project is completed to the highest standards.

Leslie Welling: As the Oregon showroom/production facility office manager, Leslie has been with Snow's Wood Shop since 2012. She handles typing and ensuring you receive your quotes, calls, and emails with schedule details, and manages our accounts receivable. Leslie's dedication to organization and communication helps keep our projects running smoothly.
